Commercial Disputes
We deal with all kinds of commercial disputes including breach of contract relating to the supply of goods and services, shareholder disagreement, professional negligence by business advisers including accountants, solicitors, architects, surveyors and environmental engineers, and court injunctions including search and seizure orders and freezing orders. From far-reaching human rights issues to the removal of travellers from car parks, we are here for you. We employ creative techniques to resolve disputes and three of our members are accredited ADR mediators.
Our approach
Our aim is to achieve the solution that you want and we work to achieve this whenever possible. We use creative techniques and commercial leverage to strengthen your position. We can help you to build a case through a chain of correspondence and exploit weaknesses.
There are many ways that a dispute can be resolved and we identify the most effective medium for your case. These include litigation, negotiation, mediation and arbitration. Every case is different, but our general approach is as follows:
- We determine the issues and then build outwards to consider the documents that need to be reviewed and witnesses who need to be interviewed. In this way control is ensured and time is spent efficiently and effectively.
- We concentrate on the key issues and develop a case theory which is the central focus of all the work we do. Distilling the case to its simplest is most powerful because the recipient immediately understands it.
- We provide costs estimates for the case and indications of timescales so that you can determine cost benefit and 'surprises' are avoided.
- Mindmapping, electronic storage of key documents and project management are key ingredients in our work.
- We help you to learn from any litigation or potential dispute in order to prevent a similar situation arising again.
But do not just take our word for it...
