We tend to seek advice on new issues, questions of interpretation or to have a robust sounding board from someone outside of the company. It is easy to find employment law advice based on technical interpretation. It is not easy, however, to find advice that helps you approach the issue from a commercial point of view. As our main contact I have always found Richard’s advice to be technically solid with the added value coming from experience and a very real understanding of the business context. I cannot ever recall discussing an issue with Richard where I have not been able to come away with a pragmatic business solution. Presenting legal barriers to action is certainly not Freeth Cartwright’s style.
