| Recent deals & projects: | Burke v Morrison and Povey [2011] EWHC 804 (Ch). Successfully pursuing claims for breach of fiduciary duty and wrongful trading on behalf of the liquidator of Idessa (UK) Limited, resulting in awards within the liquidation of approximately £1.8 million.
Re-constituting the title to a complex, previously hived-up, country estate ahead of dealing with all aspects of its £2.78 million sale on behalf one of the proprietors' trustee in bankruptcy as project leader for the other owners. Awards within the bankruptcy of £425,000. Dealing with the sale of a £4.5 million luxury home on behalf of the proprietor's trustee in bankruptcy. Work included finalising a lockout agreement with the buyer, negotiating a licence to assign with the Crown as superior landlord, finalising and completing the transactional paperwork, obtaining Forms RX4 from 7 separate charge holders (necessitating an application to the High Court) and procuring security releases from various mortgagees of the property. Awards within the bankruptcy of £242,000. |
