This includes advising on corporate structures, power purchase agreements, grid connection agreements and on the regulatory regime governing the renewable energy sector.  Members of our planning team have also advised clients such as NPower Renewables and Energiekontor on the planning aspects of a number of wind farms.  Recent transactions include advising:

•·         on a range of UK projects to install waste-to-energy plants;

•·         on the construction and operation of a 3MW biomass fuelled power station;

•·         the Carbon Trust on documentation to be used as precedent documents throughout the biomass boiler market;

•·         wind energy consultants and members of a joint venture on a proposed 21 turbine project to be financed by approximately £60 million of bank debt;

•·         a plc on a merchant wind turbine arrangement for the purpose of providing up to two-thirds of the required electricity for an industrial site;

•·         a university on arrangements for a wind turbine designed to produce approximately half of the university's total power requirements.
