The Leicester office of East Midlands heavyweight law firm, Freeth Cartwright, has used its expertise in the care sector to help the Leicester based RAF Association (RAFA) transfer a leasehold interest in its Sussexdown long-term care home.

Led by Freeth Cartwright Leicester senior partner Robert Rowley, the legal team helped RAFA to ensure that all legal aspects of the transfer of the home to not-for-profit charity, Care South were covered and that the transfer itself ran smoothly.

Leading law firm launches regional intellectual property initiative

Leading East Midlands law firm Freeth Cartwright LLP has launched the NODUS forum to boost the region’s profile as a source of intellectual property and technology (IP & T) law expertise. It is believed to be the first group of its kind in the area.

NODUS plans to hold four events each year, bringing together specialists in IP & T law to give talks, and share ideas and expertise. Although NODUS was founded by Freeth Cartwright, it will be a collaborative group welcoming the contributions and involvement of IP & T specialists from other law firms as well as patent agents, and trade mark agents.

Freeth Cartwright announces excellent year end results

East Midlands heavyweight law firm Freeth Cartwright LLP, which has offices in Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Manchester has announced its highest ever turnover figure in its financial year end results for 2006/2007.

The 64-partner firm generated fees of over £31 million during the year, an impressive increase of 13% on its figures released at the same time last year.
