Peter Strengthens Commercial Property Team
Commercial property expert Peter Hanson has joined the team at regional law firm Freeth Cartwright, further enhancing its reputation.Peter joins from London-based Davies Arnold Cooper, where he had been an equity partner since 2004. One of the projects he worked on was the acquisition of a partially-let 14,000 sq ft office unit on the Nottingham Business Park, a building now part-occupied by the DVLA.
Peter commented: “I was very impressed by the people I met here. The firm also has a substantial commercial property team carrying out the sort of work that I specialise in. With my background, it provides a very good mix and is an ideal role for me.
“Moving out of London was a lifestyle decision. We have three young children and we wanted to bring them up in a more rural location than London could provide.”
Peter specialises in both commercial property and residential development projects, advising clients on complicated land acquisition agreements with overage provisions, long-term option agreements and disposals of development sites to other developers.
Freeth Cartwright chairman Colin Flanagan commented: “Freeth Cartwright can rightly say that it has one of the most experienced and knowledgeable teams in this field. Peter’s appointment further enhances the team’s reputation.”
