BIRMINGHAM OFFICE NOMINATED FOR BEST NEWCOMER

Freeth Cartwright’s Birmingham office is celebrating after reaching the final in the coveted Best Newcomer category at last night’s prestigious Birmingham Post Deal of the Year Awards.

The annual awards are an important event in the West Midlands’ business calendar and reflect the achievements of the local deal making community over the last 12 months. Freeth Cartwright was nominated by an independent panel of senior business, professional and financial advisors from the local community.

This is excellent news for the Birmingham Office, which only opened at One Victoria Square in December last year in an expansion move that saw it take its brand, of being a different kind of law firm, direct to the West Midlands.

Richard Beverley, managing partner of the Birmingham office, commented: ” It is a fantastic achievement to have been nominated as Best Newcomer so soon after opening our Birmingham Office . What is really pleasing is that the award nominations are selected by the local West Midlands business community. This demonstrates to me that our entry into the West Midlands market has been endorsed locally and there is clearly an appetite for the distinctive approach to legal services that we offer”.

“We have already completed a number of transactions for new and existing clients in the Birmingham area, and a recent seminar that examined residential housing requirements had to be moved to a larger location because of its popularity and a higher-than-expected number of people wishing to attend.”

It has been a great couple of months for Freeth Cartwright, which also has offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Manchester. It was recently named in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list, an accolade which followed a separate Best Companies award.

Case Viewer, the firm’s bespoke software system that provides a comprehensive electronic work environment for lawyers, recently took the coveted Fee Earner Desktop/Portal of the Year Award at the Legal Technology Awards.
