Seminars to help businesses fight tough economic conditions
SEMINARS TO HELP BUSINESSES FIGHT TOUGH ECONOMIC CONDITIONS
A sharp increase in the number of enquiries as to how businesses can better trade in difficult economic conditions has prompted law firm Freeth Cartwright to organise seminars on the subject.
Issues such as ownership of goods, cash collection, restructuring, TUPE and directors duties will be on the agenda at the Trading in Difficult Times seminars, due to take place in Nottingham and Leicester over the coming months.
In Nottingham, Philippa Dempster, David Potter, Simon Baigent and Ann Critchell-Ward will be examining various methods of ensuring contracts are adhered to and ways of saving expenditure, such as through the sale and leaseback of properties. And in Leicester Julian Middleton, Mary Mackintosh and Charles Darby will be running similar sessions for the local business community.
Philippa Dempster said: “There is now little debate that it is a tough world at the moment for many companies. Many businesses, both large and small, are finding that they need extra advice and information.
Julian Middleton added: “We have seen an increase in the number of companies coming to us for legal answers to these questions and there are a number of simple ways companies can save money and fight back.”
The lunchtime seminars will include a buffet and a discussion forum to share experiences. For more information about the seminars, contact Julie Scheller at Freeth Cartwright on 0115 935 1879.
