Lawyers on the run!
Following tradition, Freeth Cartwright entered a team into the Corporate Challenge at the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday, 13th September.
A team of 5 donned hot pink t-shirts, and took to the streets of Nottingham raising money for Clic Sargent, The Fire Fighters Charity, Headway and the Alzheimer’s Society. Finishing in a great 9th place out of 36 entrants, the FC team completed the 13 mile course in 1hr 41mins fending off the 7 other law firms with teams entered.
The team members (pictured): Jon Smart, James Gorman, Jo Lindsey, Frank Beeton and Amandeep Birk faced cold autumnul winds, long waits, and an early start in order to raise money for the worthy causes, but felt that the experience was more than worth it. The event was not only an opportunity to support charities and keep fit, but also integrate with businesses within the local community.
The firm is hoping to raise more money for charity in this year by inviting teams to enter the Freeth Cartwright Corporate Relay Challenge as part of the Leicester Marathon taking place on Sunday 11 October.
