Pedal Power

A team of Freeths ladies braved the blustery autumnal conditions and took part in the Pedal It Pink bike ride organised by Breast Cancer Campaign on Sunday 25 October at The National Watersports Centre in Nottingham.

The team consisted of Jacquie Gretton (Family 5K lap), Lisa Goulding, Louise Calow, Bethan Davies, who all completed the full marathon. Laura Smith and Jenn Hudson also gave up their Sunday to act as volunteers to welcome the wind-battered cyclists back over the finishing line.

Bethan commented:”Despite the strong winds, we all had a great day and raised money for a great charity. The atmosphere was fantastic - lots of pink and lots of pedals!”

Jacquie added “Hard going cycling against the wind but very enjoyable and excellent music provided by Trent FM”.

Breast Cancer Campaign hope the whole event will raise in the region of £40,000 for breast cancer research.
