New insolvency head at Freeth Cartwright’s Birmingham office
NEW INSOLVENCY HEAD AT FREETH CARTWRIGHT’S BIRMINGHAM OFFICE
The Birmingham office of Midlands heavyweight law firm Freeth Cartwright has appointed leading Midlands insolvency lawyer Michael Gilmour to head up its Colmore Row-based insolvency practice.
He joins from rival Birmingham firm Clarke Willmott, where he was a partner and head of insolvency. He has over 15 years’ experience in the region, including a number of years at Birmingham-based law firm Eversheds.
Freeth Cartwright’s Birmingham managing partner, Richard Beverley, said: “Michael’s appointment is designed to strengthen the firm further at a time when insolvency, restructuring and recovery advice is a key requirement for our clients.
“He has a solid reputation in the profession and has the skills and knowledge to be an outstanding asset to the local office as well as to the firm’s wider Midlands base.”
Michael’s arrival follows a sound two years of trading for the firm in Birmingham, with its sizeable growth leading to a relocation last April from One Victoria Square to larger city centre premises on Colmore Row. Freeth Cartwright also has offices in Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Manchester.
