Center Parcs and Freeth Cartwright to the rescue
CENTER PARCS AND FREETH CARTWRIGHT TO THE RESCUE
In a move supported by leading national law firm Freeth Cartwright - whose Leicester office property partner Richard Osborn managed the legal process free of charge - East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) has opened a new stand-by point for its team of Community Paramedics, at Center Parcs’ headquarters in North Nottinghamshire.
Within days of hearing that EMAS was looking for a suitable base, Center Parcs bosses reached an agreement to provide just what the service needed - at no cost.
The new facility is available for use by community paramedics 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It comprises of an office area within the main building where staff can complete essential paperwork and perform other duties in-between emergencies. Crews will also have access to refreshment facilities when they take their meal breaks. A space right outside the main entrance has also been reserved for them to park their vehicle.
Raj Singh-Dehal, Center Parcs company secretary said: “We recognise what a fantastic job the ambulance service do in this part of North Nottinghamshire so we were only too happy to be able to offer some of the space available at our Head Office. We were also delighted that Freeth Cartwright were able to support us and the ambulance service in this arrangement by offering their services free of charge.”
Richard Henderson, EMAS’ general manager (Nottinghamshire) added: “We want to say a huge thank you to Center Parcs and to Freeth Cartwright. EMAS provides a valuable service in the local community and we are delighted that they offered to support us in this way. Having access to a base is important for our paramedic team and the location and high standard facilities now available to them is really welcome.”
Richard Osborn, Leicester office property partner, said: “Freeth Cartwright was delighted to support the venture and wish EMAS all the best in their new base at Center Parcs”.
